Longtime UFC associate Joe Rogan gave another reason for MMA fans to dive deep into theories surrounding the reasons behind the superhuman strength some fighters have.
On the #119 episode of The Joe Rogan Experience’s special MMA segment, the UFC commentator invited his colleague and former UFC middleweight champion, Michael Bisping. While talking about the guest and MMA, both the fighting aficionados stumbled on ‘The Count’s middleweight rival Yoel Romero. The Cuban has been a mystery to most of his opponents because of his strength and endurance.
Rogan had some theories that might explain the strength that lies within Romero, which he discussed in detail with his Brit friend.
“Did I ever tell you what happened with him in Australia? He went to Australia, right? Has a fight… He had a cracked orbital. The UFC sends him to the doctor. The doctor examines him and then talks to the UFC on the phone,” Rogan said.
He then proceeds to quote the doctor, saying, “‘Where did you find this guy? No, no, no you don’t understand. I have been studying human beings. I’ve been working on people. I’ve been operating on people for 50 years… I’ve never seen a human like him. The tendons in his eye are three times thicker than a normal person’s.'”
“His eye, the orbital bone, was already healing by the time he got to him.”
“But you also gotta wonder. He came out of that Cuban sports program. Like who the fuck knows what kind of experiments they were doing.”

“Like, think about that. He’s young enough… that it was recent enough that they were experimenting with all sorts of ana box steroids and performance-enhancing drugs and human growth hormone in children and all kind of stuff they were doing to try to enhance their athletes. The Soviets did it for sure, 100%,” Rogan continued.
Joe Rogan, who has been a staple at UFC PPV events, was recently seen missing at the UFC 271 PPV event. The reason that was informed by the authorities was scheduling conflicts with Rogan. However, there were no takers for that and people believed Rogan was a victim of the recent controversies surrounding him.
But the color commentator finally made his comeback on the next PPV event, UFC 272. The event featured a grudge match between Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal as the main event. And Rogan’s return was one of the things that delighted fans the most.
